There are two main reasons for the rapid decline of the excavator boom: the excavator distribution valve, the boom oil cylinder, and the excavator boom return oil safety valve
It is recommended to first lower the pressure of the boom (slightly lower than the normal pressure of the boom), and then check if the excavator boom drops quickly? If the excavator arm still drops quickly after lowering the pressure, it is likely due to internal leakage in the system and the distributor needs to be repaired
When raising the excavator boom to its highest position, stop and observe if the excavator boom drops quickly? The descent is fast. It is estimated that there is a problem with the boom oil cylinder, which may be internal leakage. The oil seal needs to be replaced
The excavator return oil safety valve is usually installed at the bottom of the boom hydraulic cylinder, on the pipe for lifting the boom. Additionally, it is possible to check the distribution valve and several plugs around the boom discharge pin, as the oil seal may be damaged.
